We have become aware of the impact our actions have on the environment and the use of resources in recent years, which presents a significant challenge for the industry. We have invested a lot of time and energy into the development and introduction of the first sustainable lenses in the market. It is our mission not only to offer sustainable products but also to integrate sustainability into our production process.<\/p>

At our new location we are able to use resources extremely effectively, which leads to significantly accelerated production. Operating The Entire Production With Well Water<\/strong>: In our production we exclusively use well water for water consumption in production facilities, cooling of machinery and cleaning of the equipment. Recovery of Machine Heat Through Heat Recovery<\/strong>: We have installed a heat recovery system that uses the waste heat from our machines to heat our building. A particularly concerning issue related to plastic waste is marine pollution. Every year, tons of plastic waste end up in the ocean, endangering marine wildlife as well as the health of humans and nature. A notorious example is the so-called \u201eGreat Pacific Garbage Patch,\u201c a huge trash vortex in the Pacific that covers an area roughly four times the size of Germany.<\/p>

As a manufacturing company, we want to actively participate in solving such problems and are committed to drastically reducing our plastic waste and finding alternative solutions to make our products and packaging materials more environmentally friendly. A first step in this direction was the switch to sustainable and recyclable packaging materials.<\/p>

In addition, we support a non-profit organization that works towards ocean cleanup, protection and restoration. Reduction of Plastic Packaging Materials:<\/strong> Sustainable packing materials are environmentally friendly, biodegradable and recyclable. Our company places great emphasis on not only optimizing our production processes, but also improving the sustainability of our products and packaging. A good example of this is our EVA lens, which is made up of 82% biomass and has been certified by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). It is the only lens material in the market that contains such a high proportion of renewable resources.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, we donate 5% of the MSRP of each sold EVA lens to ocean cleaning and plastic waste reduction efforts.
